People have been offered health and money advice in Queens Square.
Residents received free light bulbs and food yesterday (Wednesday January 21) as part of the ‘Savings Day’ event.
Representatives from Crawley Borough Council, charities and Southern Water held stalls over the day.
Love Food Hate Waste demonstrated healthy food recipes, Groundwork gave out energy saving bulbs, the council’s Wellbeing Team offered health advice, volunteers from Revive held a ‘Make and Mend’ workshop and Southern Water gave tips on reducing water bills.
People were asked to register with the council’s energy switch programme.
Cllr Colin Lloyd, cabinet member for Environment, said: “This switching scheme offers significant savings and I urge everyone to consider getting involved – after all, the more households who switch the better the deal for everyone taking part.”
People can register until February 2 on www.crawley.gov.uk/energyswitching or by calling 01293 438000.
