THERE were screams of delight from some and shy smiles from others as students across Crawley received their A-level results.
Oriel High School headteacher Philip Stack declared the 97% pass rate at his Maidenbower school to be the best results ever. Some 50% of the students achieved A*-B grades.
At Thomas Bennett Community College, in Tilgate, headteacher Yasmin Maskatiya was “absolutely delighted” with the 98% pass rate from grades A*-E.
Students at St Wilfrids School, in Southgate, achieved a 41% pass rate at grades A*-B for A-levels and AS-levels.
Some 16% scooped the top A* and A grades.
Holy Trinity School, in Gossops Green has announced a 99.4% pass rate across grades A*-E with 49.4% achieving A*-B.
Hazelwick headteacher Ann Fearon said she was “delighted” that 99.5% of her students achieved A*-E grades. Some 54.3% earned A*-B and 23.2% got A*-A.
Twelve students achieved three or more A*/A grades.
