A man died after a motorbike and a car collided in Small Dole on Sunday (October 11).
The collision, on the A2037 Henfield Road, was reported at 12.40pm.
A 30-year-old-man from Saltdean, Brighton, driving the motorbike, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 65-year-old woman from Small Dole, driving the car, suffered severe head and facial injuries and was cut free from her car by West Sussex firefighters.
She was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, in Brighton, and her condition is described as serious.
