Today (Tuesday June 28) the pollen count is at maximum and, despite some cloud and temperatures in the mid to high teens the UV index is also very high.

Tomorrow’s forecast for more cloud and some showers means the pollen count will drop to medium but for the rest of the week it will be very high again.

The forecast for the start of July is that the changeable and often unsettled weather is likely to continue across most parts through this period.

Bands of rain are expected to push eastwards across the country, these interspersed with drier and brighter periods, but also some showers, perhaps some heavy ones at times.

The south and east will see the best of any drier spells along with generally lighter winds.

Temperatures on the whole are expected to be near, or somewhat below average for the time of year. Conversely, it will feel warm in any drier and sunnier periods, especially in the south and east.
