UPDATE: Flooding causes problems in Horsham district

Heavy overnight rain has caused several problems for drivers this morning (Friday January 17).

There is flooding on the A272 between Billingshurst and Petworth.

The A281 Crouch Hill in Henfield is closed between the B2116 Albourne Road junction and the Deer Park junction, because of flooding.

Drivers are facing delays on the B2110 in Handcross near the B2114 Brighton Road junction, because of the road conditions.

There is also flooding on the B2138 Lower Street in Fittleworth at the Sandy Lane junction.

Flooding is causing problems in Kerves Lane in Horsham between the Hard’s Hill junction and the Kentwyns Drive junction.

There is also flooding on the A281 Horsham Road between Cranleigh Turn and the A29 junction.

A large amount of surface water is causing problems on the A24 in Broadbridge Heath at Broadbridge Heath Roundabout.

Further down the road the the A24 is just passable on the Dorking Road in Kingsfold before the Marches Road junction,.

There is also flooding on the M23 southbound at J10a B2036 Balcombe Road. on the exit slip road.

There are also problems on the 2138 Lower Street in Fittleworth at the Sandy Lane junction.

Plus, the A23 is closed in both directions between Warninglid and Pease Pottage (see story below)
