'We're doing what we think is right'

OPPONENTS of the controversial West Durrington development marched and cycled to Worthing town centre on Saturday.

An organised bike ride from Goring railway station met with a crowd of protesters of all ages outside the Pavilion Theatre at 2pm.

A small number of police officers watched as the 100-strong group, many carrying banners and placards, walked along Chapel Road to the Town Hall.

Organisers led chanting of "Save Titnore Woods" through megaphones and encouraged passers-by to join the procession, swelling the numbers to an estimated 300 people.
