Westfield Scout Group: ended the term with a barbecue, camp fire and songs, and farewells to Beaver Leader Sue Allen and Asst. Cub Leader Julie Jones, who have both served for many years. The Group has an excellent reputation in the District, and looks forward to another successful year. Do contact Frances 01424 754548 or Rose 01424 754080 for more information.

Westfield Horticultural Society: It may be possible to join the self-drive visit to the Downderry Lavender Nursery at Hadlow, Kent, leaving the New inn at 9am tomorrow (Saturday July 25); contact Tricia Oakland on 01424 755683. The cost is £5, and includes a guided tour and talks, with a chance of visiting Broadview Garden Centre afterwards.
