Officers said an eagle-eyed neighbour saw a man running along Meadowcroft Close towards Heathcote Drive at this time.

He is described as black, aged 18 to 22, 5’11” to 6’ tall, of slim build and with short dark hair. He was wearing a dark coloured hooded top, jeans and training shoes.

Detective Constable Gavin Percival of the West Sussex Priority Crime Team said: “The TV would probably have required two people to carry it and although it was dark at the time many people would be returning home from work and may have seen something.

“If you did see anyone carrying such an item, know where it is now or have any other information that could assist, please contact us via 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101, quoting serial 1312 of 09/02.
