Wings events

A HOST of events will be held in Bexhill to aid the RAFA Wings Appeal.

The fundraising fortnight for former airforce personnel runs every September.

Guests can enjoy a cup of tea, scone and cake at the 'Brew for the Few' at the Albatross Club, Channel View West, on September 6.

Residents are asked to enjoy their drinks, have a chat and make a donation to the cause.

The tea party will be attended by Rother chairman Cllr Joanne Gadd and it runs from 3pm to 4.30pm.

A three day collection will be held outside Sainsbury's, in Buckhurst Place, from September 11 to 13.

House collections will also be held throughout Bexhill from September 8 to September 20.

A street collection featuring a host former town mayors will also take place in the town centre on September 20.

The annual wreath laying will be held at Bexhill War Memorial on September 14 at 12.15pm. The rev Daniel Smith will take the service.
