Woman given oxygen after house fire

A woman was given oxygen after breathing in smoke from a house fire in East Grinstead.

Firefighters used a hose to put out the blaze in Moat Road at 3.29pm on Friday (January 29).

A spokesman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said the fire involved a log burner.

Firefighters gave the woman oxygen at the scene and ventilated the house before leaving the incident with paramedics.

East Grinstead and Crawley fire crews were in attendance.
