Woman lost two teeth when mugger pushed her to the ground

A woman lost two teeth when she hit her face on the ground after being pushed over by a mugger who stole her handbag.

The robbery happened in an alleyway in Broadfield, Crawley, on Thursday (February 20) at around 7pm.

The 56-year old was walking home through an alleyway between Seymour Road and Holyrod Place when she was pushed to the ground by the man who had approached her from behind.

She lost two teeth in the impact, and the man, described as white, in his early twenties, and wearing a blue hooded jumper and blue jeans, snatched the bag and ran off.

The bag contained a small amount of cash, a mobile phone, and personal items.
