More than 400 Crawley Scouts paraded in the town centre to mark St George’s Day.
Youngsters re-made their promises to the Scouts movement after their annual march from the Memorial Gardens to Queens Square on Sunday April 19.
Paul Raine, 61, of Crawley Down, who organised the event, said the number of people who attended showed the movement was alive and well in Crawley.
Paul, 4th Worth Group Scout leader, said: “Membership has been rising slowly over the previous years.
“A lot of the facilities are very good and we’ve a lot of keen people with us.”
The Mayor of Crawley, Cllr Brenda Smith, attended.
Senior Scouts members conducted the service at the square’s bandstand.
