LETTER: Bicycles come out of nowhere

I have to agree to an extent with Mr Denson (Letters, April 12).

Bicycles should have some means of identification.

I have lost count of the times I have nearly been hit by a cyclist on Curteys Walk.

They don’t appear to have a bell or other type of warning to let you know they are coming up behind you.

Recently one came so close that he hit my shopping bag, fortunately not hard enough to send me flying.

Some form of registration, and proof of cycling proficiency would be good, but, as with a lot of things it would be difficult to police.
