Post-Brexit there is a great deal of uncertainty but one thing is clear; activists from all political persuasions must work together to help re-build our communities.
The referendum campaign has divided families, communities and the United Kingdom. We must confront the growing attacks on our fellow human beings, whatever their race, religion or ethnicity.
These nasty attacks must not become commonplace.
I attended a talk at the Ahmeddiya Mosque in Langley Green on the Islamic meaning of fasting. There were people present from all walks of life, sitting together, sharing stories and ideas on the meaning of fasting within religion.
That is the United Kingdom I want to see, because as I always find at such occasions, there is more that unites us than divides us.
