The Crawley St Georges Day Cultural Parade was run successfully in 2014 but was cancelled in 2015 because of other pressures on a number of the small organising committee.
The Parade has been enjoyed by those that organised it, those that participated and those that watched. It has helped to give a more positive view of Crawley and has marked a contract with the events that take place in Brighton each year around St George’s Day.
Many people have made a contribution to the success of the parade and the work of all members of the organising committee has been hard and the support offered by others has been enormous.
At the AGM May it was decided that a parade was worth organising and could be held in 2016 if enough volunteers came forward to help organise and manage the Parade.
As well as organising the Parade and the performances following the parade (about 10 people needed in all) help is needed to develop funding and sponsorship, to develop a stronger web presence, for promotion and to carry out the basic administration.
Anyone interested in helping can contact Richard Miller by e-mail at email@example.com.
