LETTER: Suffering due to so-called ‘association’ houses

The amount of building going on in Crawley Down and Worth Parish seems to be unceasing and the developers are apparently trying to, and succeeding, to pre-empt any local plans to make sense of responsible planning, but neither our local councillors or government cannot, or won’t, make sense of a system that has no use for local government planning departments

From personal experience I know what a writer of a letter in your pages spoke of: councils almost entirely made up of conservative councillors, all only interested in their party and too hidebound to do anything taking too much notice of the consultants they employ. Personally I have suffered from this as over 40 years ago I downsized after a failed business and bought what was and is a final home, but now due to the government’s mad house building programme, I find us living in very close proximity to so-called ‘association’ houses and the value of my home being devalued as a result.
