I’d like to issue a warning to all to be on the look-out for a phantom faeces dropper who has been haunting the Tilgate area of Crawley over the last few months.
He or she uses a signature black plastic bag to pick up their dog’s waste with, but instead of then depositing said bag in the appropriate bin around the corner, drops it on the ground. Recently when removing some rubbish that had been fly-tipped in the field behind our house we found several black bags had been thrown into the pile, this being in a public playing field where children play. Unfortunately the bags are biodegradable and had started to break up... not so much could have been said of the contents that had been nicely preserved and liquefied within them as we discovered to our dismay when trying to remove them.Today I spotted he/she had struck again, this time seeing the signature black bag on the footpath close to the primary school and on inspection of the playing field more black bags have materialised! There is a dog waste bin literally a few metres away on the other side of the houses but the spectre, who seems to haunt the area at night or in the early hours in cover of darkness, does not seem able to float that far away to use it.
Can you put ASBOs on ghouls I wonder?
