His manager Kaz Evans of Assassin Promotions is working with Mickey Helliet to arrange a title fight in early October in London.

Jones’ public relations manager Graham Wright said: “It’s all part of his journey towards a major title.

“Ben’s been offered loads of fights but needs to make sure they are leading in the right direction.”

This year has been very much a comeback period for the 33-year-old former Three Bridges footballer.

This followed a double setback of two shock defeats in Barcelona and at Bluewater in Kent.

This was a major blow which left him contemplating possible retirement.

However he continued his career and threw himself into re-establishing himself as a major title contender.

He has now won three warm-up fights in a row against international opponents from Hungary, Georgia and Slovakia.

If he wins again at Doncaster he hopes to be back in the big time for a top of the bill contest in London.

Meanwhile, Jones is the subject of another documentary which will be shown on his website later this month.

Called Inside Access, it is a behind the scenes look at Jones and his team and his training camp.

It is made by Showcase Sports.
