Cassie is on crest of wave

GREAT Britain's medal successes on the water at the Beijing Olympics have inspired schoolgirl Cassie Martin.

As a crew member at the Miracle Nationals held at Brixham in Devon and later in Federation Week on Hayling Island, the 14-year-old student at The Towers Convent School, Upper Beeding, who lives in Rustington, enjoyed outstanding success.

The Miracle is a class of sailing dinghy 3.2m long, for a crew of two, with a spinnaker and there were more than 50 boats entered into the Nationals from all over the country, when Cassie crewed for her father, Andrew.
