Over the last fifteen years of Teach-Ins it has never rained but boy, this year we had enough rain for all of those previous years, it absolutely fell down for two hours.

As a result of that torrent numbers attending the function were down but those who were brave enough to venture out had a brilliant day. As the sun came out so did the fish and everyone had a great days fishing, catching non stop for the rest of the day. As in previous years we had all age groups coming to sample our wonderful sport ranging from age five to seventy nine years young.

The beautiful Newpond is our ‘jewel in the crown’ venue, set in a stunning woodland valley but only a stones throw from Crawley town centre. Once again tackle and bait were kindly provided by Steve Mugridge, owner of Jack Frost Tackle in West Green so a huge thanks go to him. If you fancy having a go at fishing there are still two more teaching events at the same lake taking place.
