GOALS by Danny Hall, Matt Tubbs and Mikey Malcolm earned Crawley Town a deserved 3-0 victory over Chelsea XI.
The Premier League champions fielded seven players from the line-up which won the FA Youth Cup final in May.
They included a host of junior international players including England Under-17s midfielder Daniel Philliskirk and Slovakia Under-19s striker Milan Lalkovic, who partnered Turkish Under-21 international Gokhan Tore upfront.
Crawley handed a debut to new signing Chris Flood who played on the left-wing, while another new signing, Dean Howell, played at left-back having impressed as a triallist.
Chelsea had the upper hand in the first half, creating five chances before Town really got going.
Lalkovic and Tore showed impressive bursts of speed in attack for Chelsea and were a handful for the Crawley defence.
Connor Clifford and Philliskirk both forced Town's keeper Michael Kuipers into action, as did Lalkovic, who saw a shot blocked by Howell as well as hitting the post.
However it was Crawley who took the lead with a surprise headed goal in the 37th minute by defender Danny Hall, nodding in a cornerkick from Steve Masterton.
Matt Tubbs scored his third pre-season goal for Crawley to extend their lead a minute later, combining again with Masterton whose fine cross was headed brilliantly from the near post into the far corner.
Flood then had another effort before the break, but his cross was blocked the by Blues' defence.
There was no mass of substitutions at half-time as Chelsea made just two while Crawley simply swapped their wingers, Sergio Torres switching to the left while Flood went to the right.
The Reds made a treble substitution close to the hour mark, bringing on Darragh Ryan, Barry Cogan and Craig McAllister for Hall, Flood and Enver-Marum. The powerful Pablo Mills switched from central midfield to central defence, while Howell moved forward to the left wing.
Chelsea's most dangerous player, Lalkovic, let fly his anger at the referee after he had a goal disallowed for a well-spotted handball.
Reds' skipper Adam Quinn had a solid game at the back and cleared to deny substitute Kane, while for Crawley, Craig McAllister saw one effort saved and put another from substitute Malcolm narrowly wide.
Malcolm them made it 3-0 to Town when he tapped-in a ball delivered by the in-form Howell from the left as unbeaten Crawley continued their highly promising pre-season campaign with another victory.
