Bridges gain massive win after Rose takes five-wicket haul

Bridges made a fantastic comeback from last week's defeat against Hastings to bowl Crowhurst out for 108 to set up a 151-run win.

New captain Tom Blandford’s team who now go two wins out of three under his captaincy.

The team’s leading wickettaker Mike Rose was Man of the Match for taking 5-34.

After 49 overs Bridges ended 259 for 5 with Brad Gayler impressing all the way with another finhe knock of 89.

Bridges came out confident after their recent bowling and fielding performances but middle and youngest Blandford didnt bowl their best.

However the accolades fell to Rose who came on and took his third five-wicket haul of the season.

Showing great skill in variation and a passion for celebrations, he ran through the middle order.

Matt Blandford came back and took two more wickets of the tail to wrap up as they dismissed Crowhurst Park for 108.

Bridges move onto Lindfield this Saturday in what could prove to be a crucial match in the race for promotion.
