Training sessions are being led by Georgia Adams, the Sussex CCC player, on Monday evenings at the club’s ground.

The recent sessions have been well attended and numbers are growing week-on-week.

Martin Glover the WC&TCC Colts’ Chairman said “So many local girls play and enjoy cricket at their primary schools but find that there is nowhere for them to carry on developing their skills. We hope our girls’ section will continue to flourish and we are very grateful to Georgia Adams and Charlotte Burton for helping us with this new venture.”

The club hopes to arrange some friendly matches for the girls later in the summer and is aiming to join a competitive league next season.
