Sharks face Yorkshire

Sussex Sharks play their penultimate match in Group C of the Clydesdale Bank 40 today (Sunday) when they take on Yorkshire Carnegie at Headingley (1.45pm start), as the visitors continue their pursuit of a Lord’s final.

The Sharks stormed back to the top of the table on Wednesday evening with a thrilling 17-run victory over rivals Warwickshire Bears under the floodlights at The PROBIZ County Ground.

The win sees Sussex top of the pile by a point from the Bears who have played the same number of games.

Michael Yardy’s 61 was the mainstay of the Sussex innings whilst three wickets apiece for Will Beer and Chris Nash ensured Warwickshire’s run chase proved fruitless.
