Sussex CCC start championship campaign

Sussex begin their 2013 LV=County Championship Division One campaign today (Wednesday April 10) when they take on Yorkshire at Headingley, in an 11am start.

Following their pre-season trip to Dubai and warm-up games against Hampshire and Loughborough MCCU at The BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground, Sussex travel to Yorkshire to open their Championship season against a side who were promoted from Division Two last season.

Sussex can include three new faces in their squad since the end of last summer, as Chris Jordan and Andrew Miller aim to make their competitive debuts for the County, whilst the returning Rory Hamilton-Brown is included following his winter move back to Hove from Surrey.

Leg-spinner Will Beer is currently unavailable due to injury to both his ankle and hamstring, however seamer Lewis Hatchett has now fully recovered from his recent knee injury having come through the pre-season programme, and is set to stake a claim for a place in the squad in future matches.

The Sussex squad is as follows:

BC Brown (wkt)

JS Gatting

RJ Hamilton-Brown

CJ Jordan
