For generations, the Sussex family has flowed from the most extreme corners of the county into the beating heart of Hove.

Carried proudly in the chests of its communities and brought together each summer by a shared love of cricket, the Family has grown for nearly two centuries.

Last year’s successful ‘Believe in the Dream’ campaign, which featured the story of a young boy following his dreams before finding himself batting with Sharks’ captain Luke Wright in the middle at Hove, was a major factor in Sussex winning the ECB Business of Cricket Marketing & Communications Award for Category B & C Grounds.

The supporting video for the new campaign shows a young girl and her granddad on their very different journeys to Hove, their travels encapsulating some of the classic Sussex landmarks along the way.

They are then in for a surprise when they take their seats at Hove as they are met by a very special guest.

Sussex’s chief executive Zac Toumazi said: “We talk a lot about the ‘Sussex Family’ and we want to reinforce the message of what that actually means to us.

“We want to everyone in the county to understand that they can be a part of the Sussex Family. All our players, members, staff, sponsors and everyone connected with the club are already a part of this unique genealogy.

“Everyone who visits us for this season’s NatWest T20 Blast is assured of a warm welcome into the Sussex family.”
