Sussex’s penultimate four-day clash

Sussex are once again in LV=County Championship action this week as they take on Middlesex in their penultimate home four-day clash this season, a match that begins today (Friday August 10) at The PROBIZ County Ground, Hove (11am start).

The hosts are handily placed in third spot of the Division One table behind leaders Warwickshire and Nottinghamshire, with Sussex making a late charge up the table in an attempt for silverware.

Their fourth win of the season came last week as they beat Worcestershire inside three days at The PROBIZ.

New captain Ed Joyce scored a century as Sussex declared in their first innings whilst Monty Panesar finished off the visitors later on in the match by taking 4 for 23.

The squad stays unchanged as Matt Prior remains involved with the England setup during their Test series with South Africa.
