Deadly Derek's darts are delightful

The Bognor Friday Night League's final week before the tournament break saw Derek Longhurst produce the top performance with winning legs of 20 and 21 darts, giving him a winning average of 23.93.

The highest out shot came from Cliff Prior with 151 while 180s came from Wayne Owen and Adam Norgett.

In division two, the Claremont Cobras stormed to a convincing win as second-placed Royal Oak lost at home.

Division three saw the top three teams win to keep it close at the top.

Sussex Super League

As the league came to a conclusion, players from the Observer area who feature for Littlehampton had to settle for second place behind Worthing.

But that’s their best performance since the team formed two years ago.
