Derek's the expert for looking a horse in the mouth
WHEN it comes to looking into a horse's mouth, Derek Carson is an expert whose services are called on worldwide.
Derek (33) of Storrington is a globe-trotting equine dentist who specialises in caring for the teeth of racehorses- but ordinary horses and ponies at his home base also benefit from his skills.
His work takes him to Dubai, South Africa, Ireland and all over this country, visiting the strings of top trainers Godolphin, Dermot Weld, David Pipe, Nicky Henderson, Charlie Mann, Mark Johnston and others.
When he is at home he can be found riding work for Sullington trainer Richard Rowe, at Ashleigh House Stables where he used to be a conditional jockey in the mid 1990s.
