Chris Hughton’s side followed-up the weekend’s 1-0 defeat of Nottingham Forest beating Southend by the same scoreline in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday.

Albion impressed in both fixtures, beating a dogged Shrimpers side in front of their own partisan fan base, whilst controlling Friday’s opening game of the Championship season against a strong Nottingham Forest outfit and Brighton have subsequently been cut to 6/1 (from nine’s) with BetVictor to be playing Premier League football next season.

The promising start to the campaign has seen the Seagulls’ odds for domestic honours topple and BetVictor make Chris Hughton’s side 20/1 (from 33’s) to be crowned champions and similarly 5/2 (from 4’s) to claim a top-six finish.

There were plenty of shocks in the opening round of the Capital One Cup and with the likes of Huddersfield, Blackburn and Bristol City all falling at the first hurdle, BetVictor have cut Brighton to 200/1 (from 250’’s) to be lifting silverware aloft at Wembley in March.

Albion’s bid to maintain their winning start to the season sees them travel to Craven Cottage on Saturday to face an in-form Fulham side.

Kit Symons’ side threw away a lead to draw 1-1 away at Cardiff at the weekend, before turning over Wycombe in the Capital One Cup midweek. With home advantage BetVictor make the men from West London the 6/4 favourites to claim three points; Seagulls 2/1 and the draw 12/5.

All eyes are sure to be on Kazenga Lua Lua after netting the winner in the respective defeats of Nottingham Forest and Southend.

BetVictor make the red-hot striker 12/1 to seal a memorable early-season hat-trick at the weekend and break the deadlock at Craven Cottage.

Lua Lua is likewise 4/1 to net anytime on the afternoon and 7/1 to score in a Seagulls win.

However, the value could be with striker Sam Baldock; 17/2 to score the first goal and 3/1 to net anytime during the match.
