The fixture was set to take place tomorrow (Saturday 16th) but due to adverse weather conditions, the Utilita Energy Stadium has been deemed unsafe as a facility.

A pitch inspection was held at 12:30 where the pitch was deemed playable by referee Bobby Madley, however, the surrounding areas of the stadium were deemed too dangerous and the match was called off at 4pm.

Referee Bobby Madley said: “There is obviously a much bigger picture than the playing perspective though, and the roads around the ground certainly do not look or feel safe.

“The EFL have taken into account the fact that the away side have a long distance to travel and are likely to bring their team coach to Valley Parade.”

The fixture will be rearranged, with details of a new date and time to be announced in due course.
