Bradford City v Crawley Town preview: Reds' confidence sky-high after unbelievable dismantling of Leeds United

The Reds are in sky high confidence and form, following their unbelievable 3-0 dismantling of Premier League Leeds United last Sunday.

Their reward for the fine display is a trip to Bournemouth but will have to put that to the back of their minds for now as there is League Two action to focus on.

The Reds are on a brilliant run; reaching 10 games unbeaten and looking to make it 11 at Valley Parade. The recent results have seen Crawley fly up into 6th place in League Two and they’ll be looking to solidify and maintain a place in the play-off places for the remainder of the season.

If they sustain the levels that they are playing at currently this should be a pretty straight forward task as they showed they can boss anyone, including Premier League sides. It wasn’t a classic cup upset where the smaller team wins by a lucky goal and gets dominated the game; it was Crawley who were the better side in the game and deserved the win they got. There was certainly not a difference between the two sides and the Reds showed they can compete with the very best.

Their opponents for this week Bradford City will have seen the way Crawley played against Leeds and will be very wary of the Red Devils threat. The Bantams themselves come into the game in great form also, finding themselves unbeaten since their trip to Crawley on December 15th. Since that draw at the People’s Pension Stadium Bradford have picked up 10 points out of a possible 12 in League Two.

Their fine form has allowed Mark Trueman and Conor Sellars to have their roles upgraded to Interim Managers, previously being Caretaker Managers. This sees them in charge of the Bantams ‘until further notice’ and they should be in with a shout of getting the job permanently considering their form. They’ve managed to get key players, like Lee Novak, playing well and scoring goals again which has been key to their recent revival. They are going to pose Crawley another tough test, as they did in the reverse fixture, but Crawley will be the team coming into this more confident as they look to win their fourth away game in a row.
