One player who could be back at the Amex Stadium next month is striker Glenn Murray.

Graham Potter has opened the door for an early return for Murray from his season-long loan spell at Watford.

Murray, 37, has made just one league start for the Hornets with players such as Troy Deeney, Andre Gray, Ismaila Sarr and Stipe Perica all currently ahead of him.

"My respect for Glenn is huge,” said Potter. “He's a top guy and a fantastic servant for this club.

"It goes without saying that he's always welcome here, especially while I'm here because he was good to me and supported what we did.

"I can imagine he is frustrated. It's part of the challenge of going out on loan.

"But all I know is that Glenn is a top guy, and he's been fantastic for this club and great for me."
