For a bit of fun in the meantime, we fired up the latest edition of Football Manager, and simulated the game beyond the summer and into the future. We had a look at the starting XI, key subs and manager it predicts will be on show for the Seagulls on the opening day of the 2020/21 season.
17. Sub: Florin Andone

18. Manager: Staale Solbakken
Graham Potter was, quite bizarrely, given his marching orders at the end of the 2019/20 season. His Norweigan replacement will be keen to impress in England after a nightmare spell with Wolves in 2012/13. (Photo by TARIQ MIKKEL KHAN/Ritzau Scanpix/AFP via Getty Images) Photo: TARIQ MIKKEL KHAN
