Could I’m A Celebrity, Strictly Come Dancing and TOWIE star Mark Wright make it into Crawley Town's first team?
John Yems has not ruled out Mark Wright making the first team squad again.
The former I’m A Celebrity and Strictly Come Dancing star played nine games for Crawley Town in the 2006-07 season while on loan from Grays Athletic.
And the 33-year-old returned to action for the Reds in a friendly with Reading last week. When it was first reported Wright was training with Crawley Town, he said it was for fitness.
But when asked, Yems did not rule out his chances of putting that Crawley Town shirt on again.
He said: “You never say never do you. He’s training hard and working hard. I think he had a good game the other day for the reserves. Good players are good players, you never turn them down no matter what they have done.”
And his experienced is good for the younger players for the squad, according to Yems.
“He played for us before so who is to say. He’s a person who has gone away and done well for himself but first and foremost he loves his football, they [the squad] love him.
“He’s been around he knows what the score is. He scored for Crawley at Tamworth, he played nine games for us. For the younger players he has done what they want to do.”
After the Reading game last Tuesday, Wright said: “It was good, I enjoyed it. It was a good day, I enjoyed it.
“I love being around the lads and being around football everyday. That’s the one thing I miss.
“To have this opportunity is amazing.”
