Crawley AC star Holly Talbut-Smith will be heading to the USA this Summer to take up a prestigious dual athletic and
She will be joining Carson Newman University in Jefferson City, Tennessee.
The Hazelwick student will arrive in August to study and represent the Eagles soccer and track teams.
Talbut-Smith will have the opportunity to combine her University studies alongside playing high level football and competing in top class track events for the next four years.
The scholarship has been gained through the assistance of PASS4Soccer Scholarships.
Talbut-Smith said: “I chose to study in the USA as I felt it was a great opportunity to combine my degree with my passion for sport.
“I am most looking forward to the challenge of testing myself against players and athletes from the US and all over the world, whilst studying for my degree at the same time.
“The opportunity to meet new people and experience a
new culture is extremely exciting and something I have been working hard towards.
“The university looks amazing with great facilities and the sunny weather is a bonus too. The football and athletics coaches are very enthusiastic and positive and they have all made me feel very excited to go to Carson Newman.”
