Crawley Town boss Drummy warns they must deal with threat of Barnet 'super player' Akinde

He takes the side looking for another away win and feels quietly confident following improved displays this week during Saturday's 0-0 draw against leaders Doncaster Rovers and their 0-2 defeat on Tuesday night by a resurgent Portsmouth.

Drummy praised the former Reds striker who his admits is a 'super player' and is a big danger just like another recent opponent, Wycombe Wanderers star Adebayo 'The Beast' Akinfenwa.

He said: "John's a super player, isn't he? Quality goals for Barnet, he's their talisman, same as Akinfenwa.

"We've got to come up with a plan to diffuse that.

"We need to win again because that gets you up the table into stability.

"I want to push on in the season and get the side back to dominating game again."

Drummy reckons his team have improved in the last week, following on from their disappointing 0-2 defeat last week by Exeter City.

He said: "I thought we shouldn't have lost against Exeter - everyone was telling me how good Exeter are and they aren't bad, but we gave them a sloppy goal, that's the situation.

"But we've improved. It was tough against Doncaster, tough against Pompey - I thought we grew together as a group.

"If Crewe can go and beat Pompey and Plymouth can lose, then what's even?

"It's such a tough league and any strange results can come. But we go to Barnet quite confident."
