The 24-year-old former Brighton and Hove Albion player has only made the squad for the EFL Trophy game against Gillingham so far this season.

And fans are now questioning why he has not been included in the squad for any league games.

The former skipper, who signed for the Reds in January 2019, played 30 games for the Reds last season and formed a good partnership with Jordan Tunnicliffe. But Yems has gone with the pairing of Tunnicliffe and summer signing Tony Craig in the league so far.

But Yems says Dallison is just waiting for his chance. The boss said: "He is part of the squad. Unfortunately you can’t play everybody. Tom is waiting for his chance, he’s training well, he’s doing everything he can do but he's got wait for his chance, just like everyone else."

Dallison could feature in the Reds game against Arsenal u21s in the EFL Trophy tomorrow night (Tuesday). Yems is handing over the reins to Dannie Bulman and Lewis Young to take charge of the game under the guidance of Lee Bradbury.

Yems said: "It will be a good experience for them."
