The scorer of Reds' 90th minute goal believes they did not do enough to win the game and left it too late to get a result.

"Once they scored they just sat in and were hard to break down.

"We forced a few things from the back and it was just a difficult night.

"It's something we need to work on. We need to change and adapt things that aren't working while you are on the pitch.

"We just didn't do enough to push on and get back."

Connolly believed Reds left their fightback too late to get a draw, with his headed goal finding the net in added-time.

He said: "We just left it a bit late - we didn't really have many deliveries into the box tonight and it wasn't to be.

"It seems we've changed our way form which was poor, but at home it hasn't been good neough - it could be confidence, but it is disappointing and it's hard, especially after the high of winning at Wycombe on Saturday."
