Over the course of the remainder of the 2019/20 campaign and the 2020/21 season, the club will be donating more than 2,000 tickets to all NHS and care staff, Royal Mail employees and supermarket workers so that they can enjoy a game at The People’s Pension Stadium.

Starting with the first league fixture in-front of a crowd, Crawley Town will be donating more than 300 tickets to the above sectors, to form part of what will be built as its Crawley Town Community Day.

A table of six in the hospitality suite has also been donated for our Community Day and EVERY league fixture thereafter until the end of the 2020/21 season so that the people that keeping our country running in its time of need can enjoy a day out with their families and colleagues.

A club statement said: "As a Football Club, we will continue to donate a further 60 tickets to the same sectors for EVERY league game during the 2020/21 season at The People’s Pension Stadium.

"Thanks to our friends and sponsors at Eden Utilities, we will also be raffling off match worn shirts from our famous Carabao Cup run this season, with 100 per cent of the profits going to the ‘NHS Charities Together’ fund.

Advisor to the Chairman and Technical Director, Erdem Konyar said: “We all face a testing time. It is pivotal we appreciate those that have been tested the most. We would like to express our underlining gratitude towards the NHS and all key workers during this period. We must always thank them for their brave service and monumental efforts during this period."

General Manager, Tom Allman said: “I’m proud that the club are able to show their thanks to the hundreds and thousands who are saving lives and keeping the country running during this tough period.

"Hopefully this small gesture will go just a small way to showing just how grateful we are as a community and look forward to welcoming staff and their families to a game in the hopefully not too distant future. I’d also like to thank Mark and Julie at Eden Utilities for their kind donation of their allocated shirts from this season's Carabao Cup run that they sponsored, with 100% of the profits raised going to ‘NHS Charities Together’. If anyone has any further ideas on what we as a Football Club can do do show further gratitude, then please get in touch.”

Head of Commercial and Supporter Liaison Officer, Joe Comper also had the following to say: “Like everyone, all of us at Crawley Town have been humbled by the efforts of those working on the frontline during this horrific pandemic.

"At the moment, football is not important, but one day, hopefully in the not too distant future, the players will be back out on the grass and when they are we are keen to pay just a small amount of the debt owed to those working in tough conditions at the moment. We hope this offer to people today will give them a sense of excitement for what is to come, once we resume some form of normality, whatever that may look like.”

Club Secretary, Clare James said: "It's so rewarding to see that as a club, we are able to go some way to thank our local NHS and keyworker staff for their dedication and hard work through these unknown times. We look forward to seeing you all at the first game back (whenever that may be) and coming together to support John and the team."

More information on how to claim these donated tickets and details about the Community Day to come in the following weeks.
