In a statement on the club's website, they said: "Crawley Town Football Club can confirm that we will be renouncing our entry into this season's Sussex Senior Cup.

"Having been given special dispensation by the Sussex FA to reconsider this season's entry, the club made the decision to not enter the competition based on the increased amount of midweek fixtures in this season's calendar, whilst also considering the financial implications of having to host further games at The People's Pension Stadium, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic."

Advisor to the Chairman Erdem Konyar said: "This season is a first with all the new obstacles we are facing and to subsequently stay afloat. The Senior Cup, unfortunately, in this current climate would be a further burden on the team and our finances."
