Crawley Town have had a busy week - here are the highlights of what you may have missed.

On Saturday the Reds beat York City 1-0 thanks to Simon walton’s 86th minute penalty.

Manager Mark Yates said his side deserved the win despite the ‘soft’ penalty.

Crawley have now won four in the last five and Gwion Edwards said the players are full of confidence at the moment.

Despite the good run, our columnist Geoff Thornton believes the team need more creativity.

Manager Yates has been nominated for the Manager of the Month Award while Birmingham City defender Mitch Hancox has extended his loan to stay at Crawley.

And on Tuesday, former Crawley striker Matt Tubbs scored for Portsmouth as the Reds lost 4-2 in a friendly.
