Sports journalist Jack Butler was at the game and he has rated the players and once again the best player on the pitch (by some distance) was Crawley’s keeper Glenn Morris.
9. Sam Matthews - 6
Some lovely touches of the ball, but struggled to fine space. Even with Orient down to the ten, Matthews didn’t get on the ball as much as usual. He was subbed on the 50-minute mark. Lacking his usual spark.
10. Ashley Nadesan – 5
Had very little to work with, but Nadesan was rarely in the game. The fact he was so quiet speaks volumes for Crawley’s wider struggles going forward.
11. Tom Nichols – 5
It was a disappointing night for Nichols who failed to convert from the spot after hitting the bar from 12-yards - three minutes in. Showed glimpses going forward, but nothing like his usual offensive potency. Hit the side netting late on and perhaps should have done better.
12. Archie Davies (54’) – 7
Provided a much-needed outlet down the right after his introduction. An abundance of quality crosses that deserved a better end product. Looked decent. A bright 30 minutes.
