The friendly at Jubilee Fields will kick off at 7pm, with admission details to be confirmed at a later date.

This will be the first opportunity for Reds fans to watch John Gregory’s new-look squad in action, and the Crawley boss said: “Paul Cooper and Steve Barrow, who run the football side there, got in touch and we’re looking forward to going down there and stepping up pre-season preparations.

“The boys will have been back for nearly two weeks so I guess they will be looking to get some competitive football under their belts and we’re delighted to be taking a side to Billingshurst.

“They are an extremely well-run club with good facilities and an excellent pitch. It’s not far for our own fans either to travel and we look forward to an enjoyable start to the pre-season friendlies.”

Reds have also arranged pre-season games at Eastleigh (July 26), Three Bridges (July 28) and Woking (July 30).

Dates for our home friendlies will be announced shortly, but Gregory has already indicated that exciting matches will take place against Chelsea, Fulham and Brighton at the Checkatrade.com Stadium before the new league season kicks off on Saturday August 9.
