Crawley Town player Nicky Adams reckons the Reds could hoist themselves into the play-off places if they can beat fourth-placed Bradford City and midtable Port Vale in their next two games at home this Saturday and Tuesday.

He said; “Home or away we play attacking football more like a Championship side and some teams can’t handle the way we play. For me it’s the only way to play.

“Any neutral watching us on TV against Wolves would say what a good side we are. We expect to do well, we’re a good team with good players.”

Manager Richie Barker said the club has to put last Tuesday’s disappointing defeat in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy at the hands of Newport County behind them but stressed his threat to bring in new players is something he is working on. He said: “We need to strengthen everywhere in the team in terms of numbers. Something has become available which I will have to spend very wisely which is what I am good at.

“It’s possible for this Saturday,” he added.

James Hurst misses the game with a suspension but Joe Walsh is back from international duty with Wales under-21s, Billy Clarke is recovered from a knee injury and Kyle McFadzean is recovered from ‘flu.
