He came initially on a one-month stay but will now continue at the Stadium until January.

Yates praised the 19-year-old right back. He said: “He’s been great. He’s a really hard worker. Two or three of his performances have been really outstanding.

“He realises now what senior football is about. The intensity League two is played at is different from the under-21s football we all go and watch.

“He’s coped really well. He’s a real good character. He was a bit naive he got sent-off (for encroaching) when we have an unwritten rule once you’ve got a yellow card you don’t charge forward.”
