Crawley Town join forces with Mid Sussex Youth League

Crawley Town have joined forces with the Mid Sussex Youth League in a brand new partnership.

The League held their awards and annual general meeting evening which took place at Adastra Hall, Hassocks.

There was a fantastic attendance of players, parents and club officials where the league invited all winners and runners-up along with golden boot winners to officially receive awards for their season achievements.

This was also an opportunity for the league to announce an exciting partnership with Crawley Town FC where they will be working closely with the Community Sports Foundation.

Foundation manager Birtug Kazim said: “We are keen to support the game at community level, and this partnership with the Mid Sussex Youth and Minor Football League will not only bring benefits to both parties but most importantly to the children and young people playing football.

“I’d like to thank everyone at the Mid Sussex Youth & Minor Football League for helping to put this together.”

Crawley Town kicked-off their intentions by donating a complimentary day pass for a squad of players to attend one of their July summer soccer schools.

This was was duly won in the evening’s raffle by Hayley Blackman who’s son Lee played for local side Crawley Down Gatwick Under-15s last season.

League secretary John Edwards added: “The league is entering exciting times and this partnership certainly demonstrates that.

“We look forward to working with Crawley Town and creating beneficial opportunities for our member clubs.”
