Former Crawley Town striker Matt Tubbs has joined Eastleigh on loan from Portsmouth until the end of the season.
The Blues striker had been the subject of intense interest from the non-league club during the transfer window.
However, with the opening of today’s emergency loan window, a deal has now been struck to allow the 31-year-old to move to Silverlake Stadium.
Tubbs has scored five goals in 17 appearances this season for the Blues, but hasn’t featured since the end of October.
Tubbs is a legend at Crawley having been part of the side which won two promotions from the Conference to League 1, scoring 57 goals in 83 appearances in two spells.
The ex-Bournemouth man is contracted to Fratton Park until the summer of 2017.
