Crawley Town have signed former QPR defender Addison Garnett on a two-year contract.

A product of the Championship club’s academy, he has impressed while playing in Reds’ pre-season games at East Grinstead and Three Bridges.

Drummy said: “Addison has been with us since pre-season and played in the two friendlies so far.

“At that age he will still has a lot to work on but we think he has a lot of potential.

“Physically, he’s very imposing and we have spoken to a lot of coaches who have worked with him and they have all spoken very highly of him.

“He’s fitted in well with the rest of the lads and now he has a wonderful opportunity to really progress his career.

“We think he’s one for the future but I’m sure he will be looking to play his part this season as well.”

The 19-year-old was released by Queen’s Park Rangers earlier this year having been involved in their youth and academy set-up.

Addison was a regular in Rangers’ under-18s and also spent time on trial with Carlisle United last winter.
