Gwion Edwards: Scoring on my debut is a big achievement

The 21-year-old loanee from Premier League club Swansea admitted it was a great feeling to finally make his first debut and to score a goal within nine minutes of coming on the field.

Edwards said: “I’ve been patient waiting for my chance. I’m just proud I got on the pitch and scored my goal as well.

“I’m a winger so I really should be setting goals up, getting back and helping defend as well, taking people on, putting crosses in the box, and scoring goals is always a bonus.”

He beamed: “It’s a big achievement for me to score on my debut. Just a good feeling!”
